opposed plans to close the Embarcadero branch of the YMCA of San Francisco. The branch has
since then proven to be the most valuable property owned by the association. Served as
Finance Committee Chairman, Vice Chairman, Chairman and in twenty years of continuous membership
on the branch Board of Managers. During that period the branch successfully completed
a $16 million renovation project and now serves over 6000 members.
